+++ Studio 60, Planet Earth on Edinburgh Showcase Slate +++

EDINBURGH, August 1: At this month’s Edinburgh Television Festival, the New Season Showcase is set to feature Aaron Sorkin’s new drama for NBC, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, as well as the big-budget documentary series Planet Earth and the new British comedy Respectable, among others.

The screening of Warner Bros.’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, picked up by Channel 4, will feature Sorkin and executive producer Thomas Schlamme speaking about the show live via satellite. The new Five comedy Respectable will be introduced by, among others, star Jodi Albert and producer Daisy Goodwin. Eric McCormack will be on hand to introduce his new Lifetime comedy from Lionsgate, Lovespring International.

Also to be screened during the New Season strand are Betrayed by Television: Selina Scott, Planet Earth: Great Plains, Power of Art, the new American legal drama Justice and HBO’s critically acclaimed comedy Entourage.
