Kian is touring in South Africa with the boys, belting out hits including Swear It Again, and has left ex-Hollyoaks star Jodi to work on their new £1million Chelsea penthouse flat before they move in next week.

Jodi revealed to me: “I wanted to do something to the flat and a friend introduced me to Buddhism.

“I got Kian to buy a Buddha statue and we’ve made our spare room look really mystical with it as the main piece. I love it and can’t wait to move in and show everyone around.”

Hmm. I’m not so sure how Kian’s Irish mum Patricia will take this. She was delighted when he sang for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in 2001. But it now seems a must for a celebrity to adopt an unusual belief.

Staunch Catholic MADONNA converted to the mystic Kabbalah cult. She also did a home makeover, demands Kabbalah water on tour and wears daft red string around her wrist.

BRITNEY SPEARS followed and DAVID BECKHAM and wife VICTORIA even got red string bracelets.

But Posh is also exploring the Scientology craze thanks to celeb pal TOM CRUISE.

But for Jodi there’s no buts, it’s got to be Buddha.
