Poor Jodi, 21, has told friends she's worried her career has hit the skids since leaving the C4 show last year. Clearly, she isn't concerned about the army of former soap stars who've made the move to the US, then failed to impress studio bigwigs.
And in a bid to land her lucky break, Jodi has even agreed to go back to drama school and will be filmed perfecting her craft for T4.
"It's been a tough few months for Jodi," a close pal tells 3am. "Her career has been a flop since she left Hollyoaks and she is prepared to try anything to revive it. Drama coaches in LA are going back to basics with her and helping with her acting, dancing, singing and accents.
"The T4 documentary will then follow her to auditions for film, television and stage roles. If she succeeds, she'll stay out there for good."
Jodi, who played Debbie Dean in the soap, found fleeting fame in flop pop group Girl Thing and began dating Kian after they met at a Westlife gig in 2003.
"She is homesick and is really missing Kian," adds our source.
"But she wants to make a go of things so she'll have to make do with a long-distance relationship." Let's hope her boyfriend stays really Kian!
